The fifth edition of NYFF Live, evening discussions which run through Friday, October 14, feature directors, actors, writers, critics and others in the film industry.
Alice Rohrwacher, the New York Film Festival’s 2016 filmmaker in residence, whose captivating second film, “The Wonders,” screened at NYFF in 2014, is writing her third feature, “Lazzaro Felice.” She’ll talk about her work with Film Society of Lincoln Center Director of Programming Dennis Lim on Tuesday, October 4 at 8:00 pm.
Other upcoming talks include panels with documentary filmmakers, screenwriters and casting directors, conversations with Gael García Bernal and Pablo Larraín (their most recent collaborations, “Neruda,” is screening in the Main Slate) and Sônia Braga and her “Aquarius” director Kleber Mendonça Filho, and Festival Wrap with Film Comment contributors discussing their NYFF54 favorites.
Free tickets to NYFF Live in the Amphitheater at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. will be distributed at the box office on a first-come, first-served basis starting one hour prior to the talks.
