“O Brother, Where Art Thou?”, Joel and Ethan Coen’s rollicking reimagining of “The Odyssey by Homer,” is celebrating its 15th anniversary, screening as Special Event of NYFF53 on Tuesday, September 29 at 9:00 pm.

Three escaped convicts (George Clooney, John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson) try to make their way home in the 1930s rural south, accompanied by a score of great American folk/bluegrass/country/traditional music (signature song: “Man of Constant Sorrow”), selected and produced by T Bone Burnett. The amazing CD, including the great Ralph Stanley, Alison Krauss and Emmylou Harris, is still played in heavy rotation in my studio.

The Coen Brothers, George Clooney, John Turturro, Tim Blake Nelson and musical guests will attend.
