We Are All Wisconsin Union Workers Now

CWA-Sponsored Rally, City Hall Park, NYC, 4/4/11

On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, TN,  where he’d gone to support 1,300 striking sanitation workers fighting to win recognition for their union.

With workers’ rights under fierce attack in Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and other states, rallies for union members and supporters were held across the country today, remembering Dr. King and continuing his struggle.  Workers’ rights are human rights, and those rights will be preserved.
